We saw “Cloverfield” today. It was awesome!!!!!!

Go see it!

If you’re curious enough to read the reviews, feel free, but I didn’t. I was worried that they’d spoil the thing for me. I’m not going to hype it up either, because it’s one of those movies that isn’t going to appeal to everyone.

*I* liked it, though! Awesome!!!!!!!

grandmasmile

I miss you.

Remember that shamrock plant that I divided when I was at your house, the last time I saw you? I took part of it home in one of Grampa’s old pots that I found in the garage. It is flourishing, and there are several flower blooms on it. Are you making it bloom?

I was going to make your banana bread recipe the other day–you bake the best banana bread!–but when I picked up the phone to call you for the recipe, I remembered that you are gone. I cried a little bit, and DH came home. He let me cry on his shoulder. He’s such a good man. I’m so glad you got a chance to meet him.

It is hard to think that there will be noone at your house to greet me the next time I go back to Iowa. I will miss your smile when I walk through the door. Who will I call for pie crust recipes?

I am glad that you are with Grampa now, though. I bet he was lonely up there in heaven without you. I’m sure I will see you again someday.

Love,

Me

P.S. I took the peace plant from Jeremiah’s funeral. I promise to take care of it.
